David Bowie Dragon Fruit: can set fruit without cross pollination. In other words you only need one plant. Most all Dragon Fruit however will benefit by hand pollination the night the flowers open. This plant is a cutting of David Bowie and an exact clone. Not a seedling. The plant will set fruit very quickly once it is large enough and well cared for. This fruit is white fleshed with a pinkish red skin and green fins. The taste of the flesh is sweet and tangy flavor with a lemony aftertaste. Sizes of fruit range from medium to large weighing up to a 1.25 pound. How to grow: Acclimate your plant to full sun and gradually step up to larger containers. They will need a very strong support and will do well in 15 or 20 gallon containers. Use a well draining potting soil. Too much water will rot your plant.

Pruning requirement: Selectively remove some stems to enhance growth and vigor of remaining stems and to induce flowering 1 Flowers Nocturnal; very large, very fragrant, nocturnal, bell shaped; 14 in. long (36 cm) and 9 in. wide (23 cm) Fruit Non climacteric; fleshy berry; oblong; 4.5 in. (11 cm); thick red or yellow peel with scales; with or without spines; pulp white, red or magenta; seeds very small, black 1 Season May to September 7 Learn more about this plant here: https://www.pepesplants.com/dragon-fruit-vine.html

IMPORTANT READ THIS: Seedling plants need protection from cold weather, wind, sun, dry conditions.

WE GUARANTEE LIVE DELIVERY. Message us along with a photo of the plant immediately upon arrival if the plants are in poor condition. We cannot guarantee plants that are no longer in our care. Many of our plants require warm temperatures. Shipping to areas that are cold will be at buyer's risk. We offer quality plants that are inspected and approved for shipment. Pepe's Plants will not be responsible for plants that die as a result of improper care and handling once it is in the buyers hands. On arrival of your seedling put them in a place with temperatures about (70-80 F) in shade but NOT direct sun for two weeks so they can adjust from shipping. NO direct sunlight at all! NO partial shade - FULL SHADE ONLY! Once again: Sun will burn the seedlings! Allow the plants a week or two to adjust before transplanting or fertilizing. If you plan to plant them in the garden, gradually increase their exposure to sunlight and outdoor conditions! *
