Rare and very sought after cultivar. Grafted White Caimito / Star Apple fruit tree introduced from the Dominican Republic to Florida.


Quality fruit trees, medicinal plants and other edible plants. These starter plants come to you in larger nursery pots. You get a 3.5 x 8 inch tree pot instead of a tiny 1.5 x 1.5 potted plant. More plant for your money!

Chrysophyllum cainito


Self pollinating and produces large sweet fruits. Caimito trees require a well drained soil and they grow well in a variety of soil types. Trees are very attractive with rich green and golden colored leaves. Leaves are golden underneath and green on the top. The trees produce round or pear shaped purple or green skinned fruit. Purple skinned fruit are red to purple fleshed. Green skinned Caimito fruit is white fleshed inside. Caimito fruits are sweet and delicious. When the fruits are cut in half they resemble a star.


ITEM DESCRIPTION: Plant is in a 3.5" x 8" deep container or also may come in an 8 inch tree pot. The average planted height from soil level is 6-8 inches. Plants are available now and ship out Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

These plants need protection from cold weather, wind, sun, dry conditions.

On arrival of your seedling put them in a place with temperatures about (70-80 F) in shade but NOT direct sun for two weeks so they can adjust from shipping. NO direct sunlight at all! NO partial shade - FULL SHADE ONLY! Once again: Sun will burn the seedlings! Allow the plants a week or two to adjust before transplanting or fertilizing. If you plan to plant them in the garden, gradually increase their exposure to sunlight and outdoor conditions!
